Cellular Agriculture in Western Australia
Hon Amanda Dorn to move:
That this House:
(1)
Acknowledges the potential of cultured meat as a
humane, healthier, and environmentally responsible innovation, and calls on the
Government to:
(a)
support research, development, and
commercialisation of cultured meat as a pathway to reduce reliance on intensive
animal farming;
(b)
promote the benefits of cultured meat as a
hormone-free, sustainable source of protein for consumers; and
(c)
explore opportunities to position Western
Australia as a leader in cellular agriculture, ensuring economic, health, and
environmental benefits for the community.

That this House:
(a)
Recognises the opportunities presented in the
ongoing diversification of the Western Australian economy;
(b)
Acknowledges the opportunities afforded to Western
Australia due to our location, our natural landscapes, and out natural
resources.
(c)
Commends the Cook Labor Government on its work
to enhance opportunities in tourism, creative industries, defence industries
and local manufacturing.
